Football Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts
Arsenal's ten-match winning streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global break, but will the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.
For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's latest album, Knees Up, is out on Friday.
Football and Family Life
Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.
"{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their weekend soccer team," he said.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
It smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' sole away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously Forest manager.
Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?
I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
Olly's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.
A family member told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had much success on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six games.
Fulham have got lots of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.
Their performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.
However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
