Ariana Grande visited Singapore for the regional launch of Wicked: For Good

Loyal fans of the actress are demanding that a individual who breached a barrier and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet surrounded by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account includes recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last winter.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Numerous followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said one more message on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others requested online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The movie, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two contrasting characters.

The production itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of last year in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, winning two for best costume and artistic direction.
